Corporate social responsibility

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)

encompasses a number of issues to which companies must pay close attention. These include working conditions, including health protection, human rights, the environment, prevention of corruption, fair competition, consumer interests, taxation and transparency. Putting CSR into practice requires consideration of the interests of several stakeholders, such as shareholders, employees, consumers, local communities, non-governmental organizations and others.

Compliance with legal provisions,

regulations and agreements between social partners is essential. It also means paying attention to society's expectations, which may go beyond legal obligations. The MBC expects companies wishing to establish themselves in Mauritania to be willing to assume their responsibilities in accordance with internationally recognized CSR standards and guidelines.

Consistent implementation of CSR

makes an important contribution to sustainable development and helps to meet societal challenges. At the same time, it can have a positive impact on business competitiveness. MBC has made compliance with international CSR standards one of its priorities, and invites all its partners and customers to do likewise.
